About the Foundation

The creation of this Foundation, by decision of the Monte Family, was the realization of the will of its members to promote the values of education and social solidarity.

Its main purpose is the promotion of education, strengthening of social solidarity, support of public authorities and ones of public interest, and the development of infrastructures, grant scholarships and prizes to students, academic researchers and/or other individuals or collectives – alone or in conjunction with other entities -, support the development of day care centers or homes in close harmony with the social security, help hospitals, fire stations and related associations, build or promote the construction of infrastructure in the public interest.

The foundation will seek to collaborate and establish partnerships with entities that carry out or propose activities similar in nature or complementary to those carried out by the foundation itself, particularly in the districts of Viana do Castelo, Porto and Braga and in particular in the municipality of Póvoa de Varzim.
